Three cheers for Prof Dr. Erica Baller, who received her notice of grant award from NIMH for her K23 award entitled Depression as a disease of network disruption: Learning from multiple sclerosis!!!!! This project provides five years of funding to allow Dr. Baller to continue her work linking white matter lesions in multiple sclerosis to symptoms of depression, and provides her the funding to start her own lab here at Penn. Her lab will be focused on understanding the intersection between psychiatric symptoms and neurological illnesses (such as MS) using advanced imaging and analytic tools. CONGRATS, Erica!!!
